Resort boxing competition in Jurmala

In Jurmala,  there is a boxing competition for children and youth every summer. In honour of the fact that it takes place in the resort city of Jurmala, it is named the "resort season" competition.

The first competition took place in the early 80s, when the rings were installed on the beach at Pumpuri - Melluzi, sometimes also Kauguri near the rescue station. The competition was very popular, as every year there came representatives from Lithuania and Estonia.

The competition has not lost its relevance today. Still, it is traditionally organized in the summer.
